25th March 2026
What a Great Sunday!
How encouraging was last Sunday!?! Introducing Sarah as our soon to begin Admin staff team member, "meeting" Doug and Michelle in service, lots of visitors across the day, lunch together, youth leaders prepping BAMCAMP, six baptisms and a courtyard dinner to round the day off... we love how God is at work among us, continuing to build a movement of His Church here at NVBC!!
A huge thank you to Mink and Joel (and family!) for helping to cater lunch last Sunday, and to Marcia and Charlie (+ family and friends) for catering dinner. And thank you to all who pitched in to help serve, clean up and pack up across the day. It was a great picture of the church in action!
For those who missed it, Sunday night was a joyful celebration as 6 young people declared their devotion to Jesus through baptism! Below are some photos of Toby, Mika, Ben, Wint, Ella and Nora's Baptisms and a link to their testimonies compiled in a booklet for your encouragement. We invite you to pray for their ongoing walk with Jesus following their baptisms.
If you are inspired by the example of our young people and are feeling God's nudge that it is time for you to express your commitment to Jesus through the waters of Baptism, our next baptism opportunity is already lined up for Sunday May 3rd!
Baptism is a powerful public celebration of faith in Jesus and the forgiveness and new life that a person has in Christ. It is a deeply meaningful identification with the death and resurrection of Jesus, and a public declaration of a person's commitment to live as a follower of Jesus all their days. Believers baptism by immersion was modelled and taught by Jesus, and then practiced from the Early Church through to today.
If you have found faith and new life in Jesus and have not yet been baptised as a believer, we highly encourage you to read the Scriptures, pray about it, talk to one of our pastors and come along to our baptism class on April 26. If you're ready for this next step, let us know here: https://www.nvbc.info/baptism
It's here... BAMCAMP 2026

News from Nita Finger

Last year we had a special offering to help Nita and her team provide audio-bibles for the Karamojong people. At the end of January, Nita collected these from Kampala. Previously only the New Testament had been available, but the new players have the complete Bible in Ngakarimojong. Most players are larger ones, for use by groups, but there are also small players and SD-cards which can be used in suitable mobile phones or speakers. Nita wrote in her recent newsletter, “We are thankful for this contribution from Narara Valley Baptist Church.”
We look forward to Nita visiting us again at NVBC later this year. Nita is working with the Africa Inland Mission (Australasia) team working with the Karamojong people group. You can learn more about Nita’s work here. Or talk to Petro Venter. And watch for her prayer points in The Harvest.
Join our Carpark Team

With an increasing number of cars filling our carpark each Sunday morning, we are on the lookout for anyone interested in joining a carpark team at NVBC!
The heart for this team is to be a friendly and welcoming first impression for all who drive in, while helping safety and efficient flow in our carpark area.
This Sunday after the morning Service, Kaye is hosting a quick meeting for anyone interested in serving on our Carpark Team. Let her know you are planning on coming here.
Tomorrow

Seniors Service (Thurs 26th March)
This Seniors' Service Kaye Ryan will be sharing part of her story. Come to hear and join for a time of hymns, communion, encouragement and connection.
This Weekend
Sunday Services (Sun 29th Mar)
This week Travis will continue our preaching series, looking at John 17. This is a powerful moment in Jesus' life, the longest recorded prayer of Jesus that we have... and he prays directly for us!
Easter @NVBC

Easter Services (Fri 3-5th April)
It is one of the most significant weekends in our church calendar. Who will you invite to join us in the celebration of Good Friday (April 3) and Easter Sunday (April 5) this year?
We will be running one 9:30am Service on both Good Friday and Easter Sunday.
For our kids, we will be running an Easter movie and activities during the Service on Good Friday and a full program (including Easter egg hunt!) on Easter Sunday.
