Safe Church at NVBC
NVBC is committed to creating a safe environment for all who participate in the life of our church, particularly children, young people and those who are vulnerable. Our Safe Church Team are responsible for implementing our Safe Church Policy and to respond to any potential concerns or complaints. They can be contacted with any questions or concerns about the safety of people in our community.
Policy Documents
We seek to have intentionality and clarity about how we engage in mission together. With that in mind we have prayed and thought through a number of policies that guide how we do this, accessible below.

Safe Church Health Check
The Safe Church Health Check is the Baptist Association of NSW and ACT's official process for ensuring a church has met all the requirements to be considered a healthy and safe church. It is a comprehensive review tool which assesses a church's safe practices, especially relating to the 10 Child Safety Standards of the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse. It commends churches for their commitment to safe church implementation and protecting the vulnerable.
