Our 2026 Alpha Host Team

The Alpha Course is a warm, non-threatening opportunity to ask the big questions about life, faith and meaning in community together. All around the world, many have found Alpha Course to be deeply encouraging and helpful. You can watch the below trailer to get more of an idea of what is involved in doing the Alpha Course. Starting this Sunday night, please let us know you plan on coming along here.

Welcome to the Team Sarah!

Last term we announced the appointment of Sarah White to the role of Admin and Operations Manager, and had the chance to introduce and pray for Sarah in a Sunday Service. With great excitement and enthusiasm Sarah has officially begun in her role on the pastoral team this week!!

Join us in giving thanks for Sarah and continue to pray God's blessing and empowerment over her in the role. Sarah's workdays will be Monday, Wednesday and Friday (during school hours) and you can reach her directly at sarahwhite@nvbc.info

Good News Story: Purfleet Roof

If you can remember back to Christmas, part of our Christmas Appeal raised money for Purfleet Community Church (the church we partner with each year for Boolarng). The roof on their church building had a number of leaks, and was in need of replacing (as well as needing related interior repairs due to the resulting water damage).

We are thrilled to report back that the Purfleet Community Church has been able to secure the full funding needed to tackle the work. With the combination of a community grant, other people's generosity and the money raised from NVBC, they are now working towards having their whole roof, gutters, fascia replaced included other repair work to make the build water tight! Praise God.

Term 2 @ The Valley Youth

from Zach

This term The Valley Youth will do an overview of the entire bible called 'God's Big Picture' on Fridays starting this week. This will look at how God's Kingdom (His People, Place and Rule) changes over the course of the history of the bible and yet God always had/has a plan for humanity. This series stems from the youth leaders identifying the youth could benefit from a solid, foundational understanding of the bible as a whole. The hope is that this well help youth know where future bible stories/passages fit into the big picture!

As always, thank you for all your support for our future generations.

The Valley Sundays starts back next week (Sun 3rd May) and will follow the bible passages preached in the service.

Tonight

Join for a night of worship, prayer and intercession as we begin term 2 together! These nights are super encouraging, so come along if you haven't before.
