Recap: Vision Sunday
A big thank you to all who made it to our Vision Sunday Services on the weekend, and to all who joined online or caught up since! More importantly, thank you for being the kind of church who wants to be part of a movement, as we join together on mission with the God who is on mission.
If you weren't able to make it on Sunday and haven't had the chance to yet, the message portion of Sunday's Service has been uploaded separately for your convenience:
To recap the highlights of the message, this year we have three key strategic areas of focus:
Across the year our heart is to see every believer empowered to have prayer as a first response, to see every believer activated to serve in their area of giftedness, and to see every believe mobilised to live on mission every day.
Where to Now?
If Sunday was like the starting gun in a race, the next 11 months of 2026 stretching ahead of us are like a race track mapped out for us to run together!
We would love you to join us in praying into these focus areas over our church community this year. We would also love to see you proactively pursuing these in your own life across the year. And we would love to see you engaging deeply with the church-wide initiatives, resources and programs that are designed to help move us forward together in these areas.
For the first round of 'next steps' that we can take together:

Church Prayer Meeting
Wednesday Feb 25th @7pm.
If we want to see prayer become our priority, posture and practice then we need regular calendarised opportunities to gather for the expressed purpose of praying together!! Come together for a night of hunger, faith and prayer.

S.H.A.P.E Short Course
Begins March (multiple options available)
Every believer is called, gifted & needed! Sometimes, though, it can take a while to work out what we are gifted with and what we are called to. The SHAPE course is an empowering conversation designed to help you identify your SHAPE to serve.

ALPHA Course
Sunday nights from April 19
With everyone on mission everyday, creating safe spaces for questions about faith is important as a church. Alpha is perfect for that. Start praying for your people of peace and look for opportunities to invite them to our next Alpha Course.
Readying For Lent
Lent is an ancient spiritual practice engaged in the lead up to Easter. It is a time of preparation and personal renewal, often expressed through prayer, fasting and almsgiving. To help mark Lent together as a church this year, we are preparing a Lent daily reading plan through the Gospel of John. If you would like to join us in this, you can pick up a printed copy of the reading plan over the coming two Sundays. Lent begins February18.
(and right on 2026 theme, Lent is great opportunity to focus on personal rhythms of prayer... helpful in seeing prayer becoming our priority, our posture, and our practice at NVBC!)
We are Hiring!

There is just 10 days to go to receive applications for the Admin and Operations Manager role to join the NVBC staff team.
We are looking for a highly self-motivated, strong administratively gifted and organised person with a real love for NVBC. We invite any questions about the role, expressions of interest and applications via our church email.
Please pray over this search and for God's leading throughout. Applications close Feb 14.
