22nd November 2024

Thank you for all you do!

On Sunday morning we are going to be celebrating all the amazing volunteers who serve at NVBC throughout the year. The pastoral team are so thankful for the servant hearts of so many in our church; those who serve in official 'rostered' roles, and those who pitch in to do what needs doing, often without being asked!

To those who've cooked meals, opened your homes, stacked chairs, welcomed visitors; those who keep our facilities clean and tidy; those who help to run programs on site or elsewhere during the week; those who teach our kids and teenagers about Jesus; those who serve in leadership roles up the front or behind the scenes - this amazing community wouldn't be what it is without you. So thank you for all you do!

We praise God for the expression of Christ's body that we get to work alongside every day; everyone using their gifts to serve one another and the neighbourhood around us. If you'd like to join us in this joyful work, fill in our serve form here, and we'll be in touch.

Ps. Johnny, on behalf of the Pastors and Staff Team

News from Daniel Sze

Daniel reports about the great worth of the leadership training materials which have been specifically contextualised for use with Indigenous Christians - a project NVBC helped to fund in May. They will get another use at Mt Druitt at the end of the month. This weekend (22-25 Nov), Daniel is leading another short-term mission trip, this time to Lightning Ridge.

Daniel is one of our mission partners, working with Indigenous Church leaders in both regional and urban Australia. You can watch a 5-min video summary of his work or ask Bob Gibson to tell you more about it. And look for Daniel’s prayer points in The Harvest.
