Reflection from Pastor Lewis:

Colossians 4:2-6

Thailand is a beautiful place. On my recent exposure trip to Thailand, it was a privilege to witness how God is at work through the missionaries called to such a wonderful nation. The missionaries we met were incredibly faithful and willing to make necessary sacrifices, forsaking comfort to reach a nation where only 1.2% are Christian.

These missionaries willingly offer themselves as living sacrifices in pure worship to God. In return, it was amazing to see God open doors and hearts to the Gospel. The missionaries were wise in their local context, full of salt, clear in their message, and made the most of every opportunity. Undoubtedly, the prayers, faithfulness, and sacrifices of God's children play an important part in kingdom-focused missions.

Throughout my experience in Thailand, I felt a deep confirmation of my own calling: to witness God opening doors for the Gospel in our local community. Seeing God move in the mission field of Thailand fuels my passion for the mission field at our front door. Perhaps it will take sacrifice, prayer, and faithfulness, and I'm certain it will be uncomfortable at times, but I believe God will open the door.

This weekend, I'll be sharing more of the vision to which God has called me at both services. I will be praying that God opens the door to the Gospel, to which we are all called. I also pray that God may open the door for the Gospel in your own context this week. May we all be wise, clear in our message, and make the most of every opportunity.
