CRU Coast: What a Joyful Week!
from Zach
This week NVBC hosted CRU Coast, a kids day camp. This saw 21 energised kids descend into a week of action packed activities and entertaining bible stories.
The campers spent an afternoon decorating and flying kites, a morning of water rotations including the famous Splash Tunnel, a whole day exploring activities at the Lake mac campsite and so much more!
In Christian Discovery we explored some of Paul's missionary journey and thinking about how we too are on mission for Christ. These talks were creatively told through skit, song and Nugget the Puppet!
On the last afternoon of camp we welcomed parents for a BBQ and finale show where all the campers got to sing one of their favourite songs and, not just fully recite the memory verse but also sing that too! You can watch a snippet of their singing below.
In typical God fashion, without any prior coordination, the campers happened to be memorising the same verse that has been a the focus of NVBC in 2025....
I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:14
We had one parent from another church sign their kids up for the first year. She said they will definitely be inviting more people to next year! Another parent shared their child spent hours reading their bible as soon as they got home from camp. What wonderful comments.
Logistically, the week was a breeze with what was arguably the best group of leaders ever, with majority of them still being in high school! Thank you to all volunteers who helped make camp happen. We are already anticipating another great camp next year!
And thank you to all who prayed along the way. Would you join us in continuing to pray for God to be growing these young followers. Would they pursue all God has for them as they go on mission for Christ!
Conference is HERE!
Things are in full swing to launch our Conference Weekend with the opening session on Friday Night!! Being held here onsite at NVBC, we are looking forward to an impactful weekend together filled with community moments, worship, prayer, equipping workshops, transformative teaching and (of course) great food!

A last minute conference surprise: Daniel and his wife Elise have worked out a way to both fly down to join us for Conference this weekend! With four kids to get back to and a church to run on Sunday, Elise will join us for the first half of Conference. As co-pastor of Meridan Community Church with Daniel, and as a gifted preacher, we are making the most of the opportunity with Elise taking our Saturday morning teaching session.
