About the event
Christmas can be a fabulous time of year, a season filled with hope, joy and lots of frivolity. Christmas, however, can also be a time that many of us experience emotions of grief, sorrow and loneliness.
What is it?
The heart of our Blue Christmas Service is facilitate a space to name those emotions, memories and experiences and bring them before a loving God. Together we will invite God to bring us comfort, peace and healing in the midst of our hurts this Christmas.
Our service will involve a mix of readings, reflections, carols (and other Christian songs), prayers and opportunities for personal reflection.
Who is this service for?
This service really is for anyone (after all, who isn't carrying some hurt or disappointment?!). More specifically - maybe it has been a particularly hard year for you. Maybe you are grieving the loss of a person or a relationship. Maybe…
