This year for May Mission Month we are raising money for a project with Dr. Daniel Sze from BMA. The project aims to support Indigenous Christian leaders to facilitate two 1-day discipleship training days in 2024 & 2025, as a pilot project, with a view to creating discipleship training resources for First Nations churches and fellowships.

The project will be using two modules from the Simply Mobilising discipleship course, with indigenous leaders recontextualising the material for their indigenous context: "Interface" and "Empowered to Influence".

Stage 1: To support already-trained Indigenous Christian leaders as facilitators delivering two 1-day discipleship training namely “Interface” and “Empowered to Influence” in different Indigenous Christians gatherings. Financial support is needed to cover the travel cost of the facilitator, costing for the discipleship participation books, and the lunch and tea provision.

(with Budget 1.5 years over 2024 & 2025 $5,000)

Stage 2: Dr Daniel will take the lead in the collection of feedback from both participants and facilitators for future preparation of First Nations contextualised discipleship training materials for First Nations churches and fellowship to use. A 2-day retreat in Sydney at end of 2025 is planned for the discussion of these collected feedback and invite both indigenous Christian leaders and mission leaders of Partnering churches of the “First Nations Gospel Ministry” to participate together.

(with Budget 2025 $10,000)
