2 Corinthians 5:11-6:2

  • What has been your experience of sharing your faith with others? Share a story or two with the group. Perhaps...

    • a time it went well

    • a time you feel like you missed an opportunity to share

    • a time that seemed to go badly

    • the most recent time you shared your faith

  • How do you feel about sharing your faith with others?

Read 2 Corinthians 5:11-6:2

  • What is Paul's attitude towards sharing his faith?

  • Consider each of these motivators for sharing Christ with those who don't yet know him. Which of these is most motivating to you, and why?

    • We fear the Lord (v11)

    • Christ's love compels us (v14)

    • We are convinced its true (v14)

    • We live for Christ and not for ourselves (v15)

    • We see them as God sees them (v16)

    • It's our new identity (v17-6:1)

    • Something else?

  • How could you, in your own circles, live out your new identity as an ambassador of Christ?

  • How could we, together, live out our new identity as Christ's ambassadors? (Try to think practically and creatively about ways we can share with our friends and neighbours as a church)

    • What do you think are the advantages/disadvantages of sharing our faith together as a church (as opposed to going out as individual ambassadors into our own circles)?

    • Are there any ways we could combine these two modes (or get the best of both)?

  • Spend some time praying and seeking God's leading on these things. If you feel so led, you could share your ideas and promptings with Travis - travisryan@nvbc.info
