Craig Corkill – Senior Pastor

Craig joined NVBC in 2003 with gifting in leadership, preaching and wisdom. He is passionate about seeing God’s church shape and influence culture. A church where the frequency and magnitude of life change is so significant that it cannot be ignored. A church that is Desperate for God and Passionate for People.
Craig married Carolyn, our Children’s Pastor, in 1992 and they have 3 children, Joshua, Emily and Nathaniel. Craig loves getting out on the water and enjoys a good ... sorry, I mean great, coffee.
Craig has a Bachelor of Business, Bachelor of Ministry, and Diploma in Theology. He has been a Pastor since 1993.

Phill Pallas – Executive Pastor

As a teenager Phill came to church at NVBC where he encountered Jesus in a very real way. He began to volunteer in youth leadership 6 months after coming to Narara, was appointed to Youth Pastor in 2007 and hasn't looked back.
With a Greek father and mother of English/Scottish/Irish Heritage, Phill married Monica in 2010, has 2 beautiful daughters Lucinda and Daisy, and is passionate about good food and family! Phill also has significant cultural connections with Aboriginal people in the Central Desert region of Australia.
It’s Phill’s dream to partner with people everywhere to see them live their best life.
Phill has a Bachelor of Social Work (Honours), Graduate Diploma in Divinity, Certificate IV Community Services and Certificate IV Training and Assessment. He is currently completing his PhD in Social Work.


Will Small – Young Adults Pastor

Will grew up in Canberra and moved to the Central Coast in 2013. Will is a disciple of Jesus, husband of Sam and father of Noah. When looking for a local church after moving to the coast, Will and Sam found NVBC to be genuine, welcoming, and the mission and heart of the church deeply resonated with them.

 Will is a poet, with a passion for communicating the stories that often go untold, and has extensive experience working in the community, through contexts such as school chaplaincy, youth work and freelance writing and performing. Will is the Creative Facilitator of The Lounge Room in Gosford for the Musicians Making a Difference (MMAD) charity and is passionate about art, coffee, hospitality and creating spaces for building honest and vulnerable relationships.

Will has a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) with majors in English and Philosophy, a Cert IV in Youth Work, and is commencing a Graduate Diploma of Divinity in 2016.


Benj Gould – Youth Pastor

Benj grew up in NVBC and came through our youth ministry. He was involved in the worship team for 7 years and in youth leadership for 5 years before coming on staff in 2012.
Benj married his lovely wife Mel in 2012 and they enjoy a good coffee while soaking in the sun.
Benj has an Advanced Diploma in Contemporary Ministry and Certificate IV in Community Services.


Carolyn Corkill – Children’s Pastor

Carolyn joined the NVBC team in 2011 as our very passionate Children’s Pastor. Carolyn’s gifts are in leadership, teaching, encouragement and mercy. She takes great delight in assisting our children to develop their relationship with Jesus.
Carolyn married Craig, our Senior Pastor, in 1992 and they have 3 children, Joshua, Emily and Nathaniel. Carolyn loves settling down with a good book, accompanied by water views.
Carolyn has a Bachelor of Education and is currently undertaking an Advanced Diploma of Christian Counselling. She has been involved in leading Childrens Ministries for over 20 years.

Leisel Burdon – Executive Assistant

Leisel was born into NVBC. Leisel’s gifting is in administration and she has a huge passion for God’s church to be the best it can be, in honour to God, and in respect for those in His church.
Leisel and Adam married in 2003 and have 3 daughters, Georgia, Mia and Taylah. She does enjoy spending quality time with her family, friends, especially camping. A spot of gardening, and running through the mud once or twice a year.
Leisel has a Diploma in Business (Administration) and is a Justice of the Peace. She joined the team in 2012.
