Elders


Elders provide leadership and oversight of the church, including a 'sounding board' for the Senior Pastor.

Elders:

1) Invest time in their own spiritual formation, prayer and (for some) teaching the Word
2) Actively watch out and promptly respond to the spiritual health of the church
3) Provide a place of support and accountability for those who report to the Eldership
4) Discern and approve vision and strategic direction
5) Discernment and development
6) Ensure compliance with legislative and other requirements
7) Provide 'bridging' leadership in the absence of a Senior Pastor

 

 

 

      Michael Burdon    [Chair person]

Ministry Description:

As our Chair person for the Elders, Michael seeks to provide leadership for the eldership team and is the single point of accountability for the pastor.

Family:

Michael is married to Sandy and has two children.

 

      Craig Corkill    [Senior Pastor]

Ministry Description:

As Senior Pastor, Craig provides 'point' leadership for the church.  Craig preaches most Sundays and writes many of the Home Group studies which link up with the preaching program.  In addition Craig also provides much of the pastoral care and nurture.

Family:

Craig married Carolyn in 1992 and they have 3 children, Joshua, Emily and Nathaniel.

 

      Brad Jones

Brad is married to Jenny and has three children.
